Enrollment for Spring 2018 is now open.
The Citizens Fire Academy (CFA) is designed to provide the community with information on the organization and operation of Richardson Fire Department. The CFA is open to persons 21 and older who either work or live in the City of Richardson or within the Richardson Independent School District.
The ten-week class will meet one night per week from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M at the Richardson Training Center located at 1621 E Lookout Dr., east of Plano Rd (past the old Owens Sausage). There is no cost to participants. Each night of class, participants will receive information on the different aspects of Richardson Fire Department including the hiring and training of personnel, fire investigation and emergency medical services. Additionally, CFA participants have the opportunity to participate in hands on training each evening and will also have the opportunity to spend time at a fire station and ride along to emergency calls.
The Citizens Fire Academy begins on Thursday, March 22 and will meet for 10 consecutive weeks. Thursday, May 24 will conclude the Academy with a Graduation Celebration. Enrollment is limited so apply Now!
